Best months to visit Tuscany
It is essential to keep in mind that the tourist season in Tuscany runs from mid-April to the end of September, with July and August as the highest season. The best times to visit Tuscany, therefore, are the quietest months, that is from April to June and from September to October when the weather is generally good, the prices are a little lower, and above all, fewer tourists are crowding the tourist destinations.
This means fewer queues at the most important museums, which will therefore also be less crowded inside, and less long waiting times to eat at the most popular restaurants (where however it is always better to book in advance).
Precisely for this reason many have recently discovered - appreciated - the advantages of traveling in "low season" (winter and early spring) when prices are lower, as the number of the tourists.
Other periods of the highest season are those close to Easter and Christmas when Italians can take advantage of a few days of vacation (as happens in August). There will be higher prices, as well as throughout July and August, both for accommodation and for all the services offered.
